So I got hired for a job at krogers two weeks ago, received the uniform and everything.
I just recently got a letter saying Krogers no longer wanted to continue my employment based on my background check. All I have is a disordley conduct and a marijuanna poession charge.
I'm still currently on the schedule as well, I even called the manager too verify my schedule is correct.
So, basically what I'm trying to ask is that does the letter I recieved mean I forsure don't have a job anymore?
Its pretty stupid they'll hire you before they even recieve your background check
Just go in and start working like you never got that letter. I had a murder conviction and they just ignored it. I went straight to work in the meat department cutting meat with huge blades. You will be fine.
I once hired a guy on the quick because we were SO short staffed, needed the help so bad that even I and the rest of the management team, pulling all the extra time we could, couldn't keep up with the work. So I hired this guy slightly ahead of the back ground check, as he presented very well, his references and work history checked out and he seemed for real.
He was three days in and doing a very good job.....when it came back that he had a sexual predator record. And one for robbery. And attempted murder. ......I never again hurried through the back ground check process.
As to your offenses, disorderly and possession? This next goes out to everyone reading:
Public disturbances, whatever? Employers don't want to mess with it. Seems like nothing to you....but then again, of course not, because that carelessness is why you did it to begin with.
Weed? 'Oh this is bullsh!t, it's LEGAL now and everyone is doing it any way, so----"
Druggies never stop amazing me at their capacity of denial. They will do anything to keep getting high, including jail time, lying on apps, failing piss tests again and again.....and getting fired.
