You would not believe what someone did last night.  Some time around midnight someone noticed the temperature gauges in several of the bunkers in the meat department were reading high.  Don't ask me exactly how high.  So they decided to get some bascarts and pull everything.  Good idea, right?  Well, it's only good if you put the product in the cooler.  They left it out all night.  Here's the good part.  There was nothing wrong with the meat cases.  They were on defrost.

I believe it.  I had a night off a few weeks ago and my best and brightest did the same thing with the deli hot/cold case.

They have access to the fast alert map and know how to check the history.  The same cooler goes off every night because it is 43.4 degrees instead of 43 degrees.  They even called a co manager at 2am and he said to pull it because the case was up to 55 degrees.  He said, "pull everything and put it in the deli department".  They did just that and left the stuff 3 feet from their cooler door...  Normally, I would check the history and see if it is slow coming out of defrost and leave it alone because I know if I pull it, the department will put it right back even if it did get a little warm.

These 2 are my best and brightest out of 7.  How I keep my sanity, I do not know.
