I've been cashiering and doing uscan at Kroger for about 3-4 months now. My manager had told me that he was planning on moving me to money services, but that was 2 months ago and whenever I bring it up he tries to change the subject. I was wondering, if I transfer Kroger's can I start at money services if they need somebody or does that just not happen no matter what? Thank you for any help.
Honestly the process isnt hard. You just need to make a request for training hours and use that to train the incoming boothie. In some instances it may not be a feasible option, so you could always just schedule an extra someone in the Money Services area. Whenever schedules are done, there is a ratings system. Ideally the department head wants 100%, but 90s are always good. Scheduling an extra person 4 hours a day won't completely ruin that rating so it's generally acceptable.
Its as easy as just scheduling you for the next week. Whenever I was just a booth attendant I had no idea how it worked, but in reality I've discovered it could take as little as a week. If it takes longer, then it might be that they're still on the fence about you. Factors include call ins, tardiness, general till overages/shortages, friendliness, reliability, efficiency, seniority, coverage, etc.
