Time to step out?

I've been in my department for over a decade, but with a new manager came a stress level that I find harder and harder to deal with. I dread going into work, I dread even being near this man. His response to some aspirin that I had "topped" on the shelf was to ask "what is all this ****?" and proceed to throw all of it on the floor and threaten me with a write up because there was too much on the shelf. He threatened to call a coworker in on their day off to redo a 4 foot section in our seasonal aisle because the candles weren't lined up by size. Those are just two examples. I have become more burned out in the last month than in my entire history with the company. How can I step out without causing a ****storm? I'll even go to the Front End if I have to.

The manager did apologize for his outburst later, but yeah. It's happened so often that I'm over it

You need to ask yourself is the manager actually right? Was that too many aspirin? Shouldn't the candles have been lined up correctly?

I see those as both valid criticisms, you might just not like your manager but if he is right, you need to open your ears and listen. Understand that if he is not directly attacking you personally, do not take offense to it. Just consider these mistakes and do right the next time. He is your boss after all. So if anything he instructs ever goes wrong, you can always point the finger at him, but remember, it's a lot easier to just say, "Yes, I'll take care of it." rather than become passive aggressive like with these posts or become actually angry enough to consider quitting.

Is screaming and throwing things the right way to address minor imperfections?

Is "Respect" one of Krogrr's core values?

NO, what you should be asking is,  isn't the managers job to order and edit the truck? so that too many aspirin don't come in.  And isn't the manager's job to set the promo aisle. (ohh and you don't set candles on the promo aisle according to size.  The promo aisle is set to PLANOGRAM.)
