hi all,

i had checked my schedule on Wednesday and I was down to work this evening and I was off yesterday so went to work this evening only to find out that I had been put down to work this morning and I didnt know this so obviously I didn't show up.

i am so mad that they did this without telling me as I had it still down as the evening shift, the front end manager admited that they had changed the shift without notifiying me but I'm super annoyed as they could of called me this morning to come in but no one bothered and the manager said "we aren't responsible for you coming in"and other cashiers got called in to cover and they were very annoyed which I get.

Is there anything I can do to make sure this doesn't happen again?

Go to the union and grieve the hours lost.  You should have taken a picture of the schedule.  Might get you on a **** list but the managers won't do it again any time soon.

Under my contract, they can't change the schedule after Saturday after noon without your approval.  You read it on Wednesday.  Somehow it was altered before Friday.  Are you sure there are not two copies of the schedule around?  You can not trust online Eschedule to reflect any changes done at the store.  You can only trust the hard copy of the schedule that is posted at the store.
