I got an email saying that they were going to go with another applicant but I just went in for an interview and drug test/background check two days ago and the manager said they would contact me by phone. Did this happen to anyone else? Did I not get the job?
Is this a job with Kroger corporate or a job at a store? If it's the latter, I find it odd that Kroger would turn away any applicant given the turnover rate at all the stores.
I would call and ask for the person who interviewed you. What job did you apply for? Did they have you do any safety tests on their computer? They didn't do a background or drug test on me until after I went through the safety tests.
