The importance of an SIR.

Hey everyone. been with the company for 10 years, never had a write up until a few days ago, when I got an SIR. How important are these, and do I need to file to have it removed? The SIR was in regards  to fresh scores.

Serious Incident Report.

Never sign any write-up.

Yes, try to grieve it thru the union to remove it.

Managers could use them to force you down or terminate you.  My observation is that Kroger wants to get rid of the higher payed full time employees and replace them with lower payed temporary employees.  Always be wary.

I was told it means "SIGNIFICANT INCIDENT REMINDER" ( or REPORT??)

If you read the fine print, it reads that the incident can be BAD OR GOOD, Negative or positive.  It actually sounds like a big bunch of nothing.   I got one for some trifling occurrence a couple years ago. Never heard a word about it since, and the managers at the time are all gone now.

Forget it.

I've gotten like 4 SIRs and a failed mystery shop. One solitary SIR means very little.
