Really? I don't know if it's do to us having so many call offs at times, I've often had my hours changed after Saturday to cover someone else's shift. But that is a very ****ty thing for them to do.

It's not your fault they changed your schedule and didn't tell you.  If they try to write you up, refuse to sign it on the grounds that they are in breach of contract.  If necessary, have a union steward present.

I've noticed this is beginning to happen a lot due to call offs, sicknesses, etc. They are not supposed to change anyone's schedule for any reason without asking but it happens all the time.

Sometimes I think it is to totally mess with people. As there were two chicks in the deli I work with that had their schedules changed and they weren't told. And one had to take it all the way to a manager to get our DH to even fess up to him changing her hours and not telling her. Cause she was expected to come in a 1 p.m. for her time originally and I think she told me it was changed to 3. And the DH was trying to say she was late or something when she was two hours early. But the real ****ty part about it, was another manager that was over hearing what was going on, got on my co-worker's case saying she had better not let something like that happen again. Like are you serious? How is it my co-worker's fault when last she checked her schedule was as it was supposed to have been and come back it's changed behind her back?

Same for another co-worker. But I guess it was so bad for her that she was worried she was going to get fired over it. Thankfully she got into contact with one of our longer termed back up managers and they got stuff straightened out. But I truly think that is some BS. They should not be allowed to play those games like that and then have the nerve to put the blame on you for something THEY did in the first place.
