I have been at my store for a year. Almost 2 weeks ago, they told me my promotion to Assistant Service Deli Manager had finally gone through, after starting the process in October! Store Manager tells me she is going to make sure I get backpay. My job title on my profile hasn't changed yet, nor has my pay rate. How long does this usually take to kick in? Should I be calling HR to find out whats going on? Thanks for any and all help :)

Oh geez, as soon as I was moved to my store about 6 months ago, I was getting the payrate for bakery manager, although i was still listed as relief pay at the time. But since the end of October, i've actually been in the system under the correct title, given email access, given e-schedule access, etc.
Someone's really screwing you over right now and you're probably going to have to fight for that back pay.
Sorry to maybe burst your bubble. Assitant FSM isn't an actual position, at least in my division. The current FSM can pick someone to be their second, AKA you. This does not mean more pay or an actual title. You might get a .40 lead clerk position, or if your store has enough volume some type of deli/bakery/bistro manager position. The only other option is to go through the Qualified Assistant program. If you did this program, there is no back pay, as you do not get the actual pay till you finish the course.
What is FSM? There absolutely is a title for Assistant Deli Manager and in my division it pays almost $18 an hour. They're definitely getting ripped off!
I was told that the position included a raise of almost $5/hr. On our career path guide it definitely shows the title/position and it's a step over the Chef position.
