How use the gun?

I've been shown once, but that was it. All I remember for transferring items is sign in, click CAO, and scan the item, and type in your department number. There is a step here I missed. What you click after CAO I can't remember.

All I remember for CAP is sign in, click CAO, choose inventory (I think) scan item, put how many items is on display, then click F5. There are a couple of steps here I missed.

All I remember for Residual is sign in and click CAO. After that I don't know what you do.

The only thing I remember all the steps to is Outdated items.

So can some one help me with the steps I don't know?

What Department?  I am guessing meat or Deli.

Residual:  1.  CAO--> 1.  Inventory Management--->  1.  Residual Scan.  Scan item, make sure BOH is correct, (arrow down) if you want to change Allocation.  Press enter when done.  Press escape and then 1. to process it and exit.

I don't work in other departments but someone will be along to help you with CAP report and signs.

Are you talking about transferring stuff from one department to another like when deli or bakery needs to get something off the shelf to use?  In that case it's CAO, E-40, Dept. to Dept, enter your department number and press ENTER.  If you don't know your department number it tells at the bottom of the screen how to bring up a list of all the department numbers.  It's F-something.  Anyway, after you enter your department number, you simply scan the item and enter the quantity.  Even if it's just one, you still have to key it in.  Hit F-5 to save.  Scan the next item, if there is one, and repeat the previous steps.  When you're done, hit ESC and then process items.  Exit and sign out.

Thank you both! That helps! I still need to know about CAP, but both of you helped me with Residual and transfers

CAP:

1. CAO -- > 6. CAP Menu --- > Pick either 1. Prep for Today, 2. Prep for Tomorrow, or 3. Thaw and Sell --- > 1. New Session, pick a name (i usually just put my initials in here but you can put anything). Then you can begin scanning everything you need to for whichever CAP you are doing.

It must be different in other places. I noticed you didn't mention F2 or F5. I know that you have to click F2, then type in the amount that is on shelf, then F5 to save.

Oh yes you're right, i was just saying how to actually get into CAP but didn't mention how to save. F2 to edit, f5 to save.
