What is the Probationary Period timeframe? The concept is included in the Employee Handbook but it doesn't provide the length of time. (Store location is Dallas TX)

I was told it was 3 months when I got hired but from what I understand it can be lengthened or shortened depending on your job performance. You will have a two week check up and then a one month eval and a 90 day eval. Eventually you will get a real nametag that doesn't say "new to the crew" and I took this to symbolize the end of the probationary period

Yep, this happened to a friend of mine(whom I initially met in orientation), as she surprised me by telling me once that she was still in the probationary period well after I and others that were in our orientation group had gone through it. But she did have a few call offs. And so at some point or other they decided she had had too many call offs and eventually suspended her for a time. But being in Deli, and the number of call offs that they have down there so often. They had to bring her back in much sooner than even she expected. But yea, that is one rather flexible 90 days to say the least. But I think, they were only doing that to her too cause she does work. Just has some health issues from time to time though.

I don't know what department you're in, but last year Kroger changed the probation period rules. It can either 30, 60, or 90 days. Mine was 90 days and that is because even though I worked hard and showed up on time, they still had doubts about whether I would stay. Also because there were those who hated me and those who liked me.
