OK So I'm exhausted
Permalink

I have been trying not to post this for about a week now, but can't hold it in. For the last 2 weeks I have closed by myself. Some days it has just been the last hour or the last 2 1/2 hours, but I'm still doing what the people before me should be doing before I can do my job. I have had to work over time to get as much as I could, done. Just the other day 2 of them asked me 'How I was doing?' When I told them both "I'm fine." Their response was 'Really??' I said 'Yes' They seemed to be surprised by that. Like they expect me to not be 'Fine'? These people are a part of the alliance trying to get me to quit. Do they really, think I'm going to act like I'm not fine around them? They don't really care, if they did they would do their jobs during their shifts and not leave me with the work. I mean it's piling up more and more. It seems that every day the others are getting lazier and lazier, leaving me with more and more work. I see what's going on. I'm not stupid. Do they think they are going to break me? They have another thing coming. I can tell whose in this alliance and whose not. I can see what the plan is. They aren't that smooth/slick.

Make sure you take pictures to document all work that's not done by previous shift and left for you to do. It's not right when that happens, because of laziness. And inexcusable when done in effort to make someone quit. Is there someone in management you can ask innocently "what are the chores of previous crew" and how should they leave the place for the next shift, and then tell them how it's happening at your department. Hopefully someone will put an end to that abuse.

LOL! Management knows. They don't do anything about it. I quit telling management. I just do my work and get done what I can now. I let management know every night that I'll be working a few minutes over.
