"Fresh and Friendly" isn't the problem! Its get it done and no excuses.....is the issue. Why isn't your department stocked, "I'm sorry I was helping 3 customers and just started my shift"......."EXCUSES!"
5 Years ago.......3 people would have been scheduled to do the task...... TODAY......1 person scheduled and told to be the same work and "Acknowledge, Assist, Appreciate" all customers......and offer additional assistance!
Fresh and Friendly, like many of other Kroger's initiatives and programs, would work great... if Kroger actually backed up the initiatives and programs with adequate staffing and financial support. So yeah, like others have said, Kroger just loves to dump more on your already overflowing plate while still expecting 110% and without any additional compensation or support.
Most employees have thus already dumped Fresh and Friendly, and store-level management is too overworked/overwhelmed to have the time or even care enough to do anything about it... or address any of the other stuff that's coming off the rails/all screwed up in other areas of the stores.
We were downgraded several days in a row because our artisan bread wall wasn't full. This was after we told them that all the Labrea bread had been scratched every day for the past week
