Every time someone asks me that, I have to stop and think about what they're talking about. When someone says, "eclipse glasses" I keep thinking of glasses you drink out of, not the kind you put on your eyes. Incidentally, a pair of binoculars works great for projecting the image of an eclipse on to a sheet of paper. You have to turn them so the end you look through is facing the paper and the other side is facing the sun.
How many thousands of calls have you gotten about this? Can't wait for this damn eclipse to be over
I'm not sure why they haven't changed the phone answering service to begin with "we are out of eclipse glasses." it's possible, the same way the recording will say "this store is currently closed" It would just require contacting the right person. As for in-store customers, just put up a sign, point to the sign. Luckly the eclipse is over.
This was a fiasco. THey could've sold 2-3x as many as they had on hand. Instead we pretty much took turns answering the phone which was almost always "no, sorry, no glasses at any kroger anywhere" except for the fast alert here of there.
