Looking at a website showing Kroger locations in Houston, there appears to be at least 17 to 20 locations in the metro area. (Correct me if I'm wrong).
Anyone in the Houston area that can shed any light on what is going on with the stores around that area? It looks like some of the interstates are under water, and deliveris will be interrupted for some time (to put it mildly).
Anything that people wanted for a flood ((water, canned goods, bread, juices, soda) sold out Friday night/Saturday morning.
Truck came in Saturday night/Sunday morning. With a double order: an order went out automatically, and our store manager entered another manually, and the two largely overlapped.
We got as much stocked as we could Sunday morning, but the store never opened that day, or Monday. Night crew (including me) were sent home at nine Monday morning.
Don't know if it will open today, it's still raining, and much of our area (northwest Houston/Jersey Village/Cypress) is flooded.
Some major roads were still open when I reconnoitered Monday afternoon. I'll go out again today if I can.
HEB was open about a mile down the road on Monday, but they had limited staff, and were only letting a few people in at a time.

Original poster here......... I find it rather odd that this thread has not received any more posts than the 2 replies, but (at this time - Thursday, Aug, 31, 2017 -- 7:00 PM Eastern time) over 240 views. . I would expect that many of the stores in TX that have been affected by Harvey are experiencing a lot of problems.....power outages, flooding, much spoiled food, inability of employees to get to work, the store being closed, etc.
But perhaps there are very few Kroger employees in these TX stores that are aware of this forum? Along with the fact that many of them have more pressing things to take care of than post to this discussion.
