how many people in your department are looking for new jobs/better opportunities?

Things have gotten ****ty.  Fortunately for those of us trying to find an exit, we know there are greener pastures out there if you're willing to take a risk.  We've got a couple in school and one looking at another position elsewhere.  These are all people with 3, 8, 10 years experience.  If we all leave at once, there's no way they can replace us.  Corporate is going to piss us off and have departments filled with random people off the street who can't even run 25 cases per hour, let alone 55.  And they expect to survive?  How?  Oh I know, they'll pay people to drive to our store from other stores to stock our ****.  Yeah that's really saving money.  Give us the hours we need and maybe we won't be looking for the exits

Sounds like my store! Most of the employees are seeking better employment options.

Pretty sure almost anything is better than Kroger.

I am full time so I get the hours I need but I'm still looking for a new job. There is no future with Kroger anymore. They don't care about their employees. They continue to take vacation time, personal time, and have done away with holiday pay. The insurance is a joke already and now they want to give something worse. The raises in my district are a nickel. You can no longer make a career out it anymore.

Amen. My stores in the same situation. There about 4 of us holding the floor together, just barely. Were all waiting for the first chance to go. Used to be 6 people, one went to chipotle and the other to amazon...

kroger doesnt care about us but we care about us. Keep your head up. If youre a hard worker, good work will find you.

Anyone young with a lick of sense is trying to get out of my store.

They can replace us...poorly.  So what?  These days, Walmart is possibly a better place to work.  How sad is that?
