I really couldn't care less about this. The only people that get in trouble are managers. We as front end people cant even be disciplined. One of the mgrs. tried, the union got involved, and into arbitration. The decision is that OSAT is not definitive and easily manipulated and Quevision is based on flawed technology

The opening cashier at our store always got dips and was getting hassled by mgmt. The board would quite often show 1 checker open, and 2 needed but there were never people in line. So what he did was to use his phone to livestream the front end and save it to the cloud. Every time it showed for 2 cashiers needed, even though no customers, he recorded him over the PA system calling for another cashier, and the video also showed the 2nd cashier coming up, and the 2nd one saying,"why did u call me up?" The morning cashier had the video ready to go, and sure enough the next morning the report showed he did have a dip and a 60%. He grabbed the store mgr and made him watch the whole video and he was left speechless. This company stresses all of us out.
Our crappy OSAT scores are now being defended by some of the postings on here about how phony OSAT is
Quevision isn't the issues, the issue is staffing. If sales have increased, why haven't cashiers hours increased? I remember Dave Dillon saying an average of 11 hours have been added to the FE because of Quevision, which was 8 years ago. Clicklist is sucking the hours away from ALL departments. Clicklist was added and hours went away!
When Chicken Warmers and Balloons effect the predictor, I think the system isn't 100%. The system was only built to manage lines and eliminate wait times. When your not integrating it into ELMS and not concerning yourself with its data other then the daily %, you can tell they know its not a complete system.
Its funny now recently higher ups are admitting forecasts and data is becoming flawed, but yet we are still using the flawed systems. Data is important and does not lie, but Humans tell you that the data means!
Nice part of the website. It further demonstrates the Local's responsiveness to and work on behalf of members.

Its an awesome union. Been with them for 40 years and they really stick up for their people. When arbitration is slow, they immediately go to their stable of lawyers and threaten Ralphs with a lawsuit on our behalf. The company always caves in because they know what would happen.
