Seems kind of ****ty for my schedule writer to give me one. That is how bad our store is at training cashiers for fuel and SCO. Someone is on vacation at fuel so this happens!
Shouldn't, but that's the world we live in now. Its all fine and good to say "train people", but if no one wants to actually learn the task......its find of hard to train them!
A CSM/ASCM is expected to know and be able to "fill in" for any position that's considered front end when there is a need for it. Fuel is considered part of the front end, so it's not really that strange.
As a fuel center clerk, they ARE needed to help out whenever we are severely understaffed. I do not see a problem, personally. It is a much easier job than front end supervisor, and they seem to like to come to the fuel center so they could take a load off of their shoes.
