Employees at Kroger who have worked here for a LONG LONG time. You might say they have (officially or unofficially) made Kroger their Career.......or at least they have been here so long, it's like being in prison for life.
Since I would be considered a LIFER...... I want to make sure people know..... IT WAS NEVER THIS BAD BEFORE!!
Everyone had a bad day or week, but its been a bad few years. I question the company thinking another buyout is going to really help! We have a brain drain at a lot of upper level position and definitely have a drain at the stores.

Enough about lifers, what is the process of a buyout, and where and why is Kroger doing it?
They offer buyouts to eliminate higher paid employees (Management, KMA, GO) and also to more easily eliminate positions. If a position was not eliminated, these position are filled by lower paid associates and most likely have more responsibilities. With the way the stores are currently operating along with KMA and GO, I do not see any buyouts happening soon. If they do offer a buyout, I would say KMA-Presidents/VP's and District Managers.
We need to RESTOCK KROGER, but it seems like we are not looking more then 1 month in the future with all the plans.
