The front-end at the store I work at has a binder with the sign, close the loop, taped to it.

What the heck does this mean?

Who came up with this?

The Close the Loop binder is there to note the areas associates need coaching on. When the bookkeeper is reviewing the daily files will note areas that are not "normal" and will then go over it with associates.
