Corporate tax cut..Kroger

The corporate tax has been cut I. America, from 35% to 21%..

..across the board, this is Huge, savings to Kroger Co..

I think Kroger should pay a $2 premium to all clerks and cashier's for holiday hours and Sunday hours..

Not a lot to ask, in my opinion..

Small potatoes and a little incentive to those that contribute to K rogers success..nationally..peace.

Home Depot said today it will pay bonuses to hourly employees after passage of federal tax cuts last year.

All hourly workers will receive a bonus of at least $200 with more going to workers with longer tenures. Employees with at least 20 years of service will get $1,000,  according to CNBC.

Home Depot is just the latest big company to announce bonuses or pay hikes after the tax cuts passed last year. A major component of the package was a large reduction in the U.S. corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent.

Walmart, Starbucks, Disney, JPMorgan Chase, Wells Fargo, Boeing, AT&T and more have all announced either one-time bonuses, pay increases or both.

Surprise surprise, Kroger isn't among the growing list of companies giving back to employees. I know, a real shocker, right?

I will add commentary to my original post..up top..

Most likely, any money, in higher pay, that K rogers passes on to it's workers, will most likely be spent in a Kroger store or fuel station, getting a steak for the family, a case of beet for yours truly or gas for the family car, both ways Kroger wins..

..just call me, Mr. Company man, I am..peace.

You're right! Especially since union contracts have already been negotiated. Can't change what was already agreed to.

There might be a clause in your contract to opening it up for wage increases. Mine has it.
