Of course, none of the baggers were around to help, coincidentally. 

Spilled food, broken bottle of salsa or wine, fine, I can more than handle that. But vomit...

Yes, part of the job of working with the public. But normally the person doing it would get a "Please clean that up Gift Card"...lol

I would have just put some wet spill signs around it and left it there till a courtesy clerk could get to it. Then I would be super busy helping customers until after the cc cleaned it up

 But if the cc decided not to do it, or was busy...then I'm guessing it would just dry up from sitting and sitting and sitting there?
