Should I be worried?

Ok what happened was I was scheduled only for five hours today I work in Clicklist. Usually there's more than one person scheduled in the evening but I would be leaving @ 4 and no one else was scheduled to come in only me and thus one guy. Me picking orders then this guy taking them out and marshaling. He asked me if I could stay after (which I always do overtime I feel the fall girl but I do it to help) Well three cars showed up all at once. I was staging my totes when he took me away from what I was doing to carry out an order. He stacked some of the totes dangerously high he also said he'd come help me still I was able to manage until a customer in the car (I was supposed to go to another car) she said she had been the first one there and been waiting for 30 minutes. So I say my apologies ma'am we seem to be short staffed and I said only me and this one guy are here doing everything. Right when that happened my cart rolled away and then the pallet went over a curb behind the cars into the grass. All those totes ended up sideways in the grass I was calling him on the walkie and he didn't come out for awhile. I told him what happened he said it was fine and asked me if I could do this new tote delivery. So I did. Then that delayed me on orders I needed to pick for. Then when we got back in he seemed to be nice but then he started laughing at me for ten minutes and told this other co worker from another department and they were laughing at me. I was stern the entire time and serious. I finished the orders as fast as I could there were some Items unavailable or hard to find so this guy had told me to out of stock it. Then another smaller order I was able to make subs and fill it on time. He tells me I can have another break since I stayed longer and told me to have a good night. I said thanks I was very apologetic to him throughout as well. But then right when I had gone to clock out he was gossiping to the same co worker about me that all the out of stocks I made were killing him and that I was supposed to leave @ 4 and that I kept saying I was done with the trolleys as I was going fast as I could. Of course I asked him as well if everything had gone alright with the customers who had waited. Should I be worried about my job?

I wouldn't worry, but I would think very hard about saying over to help him.

As a CL Lead this makes me mad. There is no excuse to treat you like that. And he should have been able to handle three order pickups alone if you were still selecting. Talk to the supervisor.

Agreed. I often work over my time because the store keeps cutting hours while increasing order numbers. I'm not a lead but I am learning to be one because of availability issues/clamping down on overtime. I never, ever treat someone like that when I'm closing. If you can't be a team player, don't be on a team. Period. The substitution and out-of-stock item accountability is stupid since we can't help what we don't have. We're picking available items. We're not the warehouse. So he shouldn't be making comments against you on that. Yes, it's a PIA. But it's not on you.

It doesn't sound that serious.  Sounds like he just laughed the whole thing off.

I'd never help that guy again, though.  What a jerk.
