i am a new hire on my very first job in the deli and my total hiring process has taken well over a month with the hiring manager having me come in a week apart for my interview, store tour, orientation, and first official day. now i have checked greatpeople.me and there is nothing on my schedule. what should I do?

They didn't give you a training schedule during your orientation? Might need to get with your dept. head to figure out what days they can write you in to work. As it will likely take a while til you are in the system for anything to show up on greatpeople.

my store held the orientation at a completely different store and all we did was fill out a roadmap, watch some company videos and signed up for the workers union. they did not give me a training schedule or anything of worth during my whole time in the orientation, nor did they give me a training schedule during my first day, which was friday of last week.

Man, you're lucky. I never got a tour of the store, or an orientation, when I got hired. Just, a welcome bag of items I didn't need, and the cashier who "trained" me by having me bag with no explanation of anything except "this is a register, you press buttons and stuff. now bag this ****."

Go to store you were hired to work in.  Find the Deli manager or store co manager.  Ask when they want you to start.

It might take a few weeks to get you into Eschedule.

Don't wait too long.

Welcome to Kroger.  Communication is the key to our success.
