I have been told those jobs are the same, several managers including our Admin that runs payroll say they are different job codes. How is it in your store? One of the reasons I took the Utility job was that I didn't have to bag anymore!!
I know courtesy clerk duties are
customer assistance
cleaning
cleaning bathrooms
playing nanny to customers - unwritten rule
cleaning break room
assist in other departments if requested - for cheaper help
emptying trash cans
assisting cashiers with customers and merchandise
cart runs
In busier stores most of your time will be spent obtaining carts and bagging groceries.
Depends on your contract.
In our contract, a Utility clerk does everything a Courtesy clerk does and has extra duties on top of those.
Here for the fun working environment.
