Anybody ever have a customer with a trump t shirt come through their line
Permalink

Today I had a man with a trump/pence t shirt come through my line that said trump in 2020 and make America great. He was bagging his own groceries and turn around to tell him how much money he owes when I notice a gun in a holster on his hip. That kind of unnerve me seeing that gun. I know anybody can carry a gun now and I do not think he was a police officer but that gun unnerved me. He seemed to be a nice guy but with the world so crazy now with trump and crazy supporters it made me uneasy. Has anybody else had this happen to them?

Please, take a deep breath and Chill.  Anyone has their American right to wear practically any shirt they want to when they go shopping (well, I hate to see people wearing shirts with obscenities on them, but what can you do? It isn't illegal as far as I know).

But.......... Contrary to what almost all of the mainstream media wants you to think (NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, CBC, New York Times, Time magazine, Newsweek magazine, Washington Post, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, etc, etc, etc) who ALL dislike (I won't say hate) President Trump with a passion, (and do everything they can to belittle him, make fun of him, condemn him, exaggerate every little thing they can to put a "bad slant" on him, just watch the nightly news and how every story is a "dig" at Trump in some way or other),  Trump is actually doing a reasonably good job, trying to achieve peace with one of the most dangerous countries in the world (North Korea), lowering federal income taxes across the board for most Americans (which he did, and the upper echelon Democrats were not happy), revitalizing the military for the safety and well-being of the US.  He's trying to come  up with a balanced solution to the problem of illegal immigrants pouring into the country. No matter what he does, the hypocritical media bawls him out.

Every country in the world has a right to protect itself and to protect it's own best interests.

Yeah, OK, we know Trump has a habit of saying things in a casual off-hand way that makes the elite media types (including Hollyweird, Washington D.C. political career hotshots, the strongly left-leaning university circuit including most colleges nowadays)  go crazy, and sometimes he uses bad language (never heard that before, huh?)  but if you get past all the Media Hype, the majority of the country is doing pretty well. Sure, there are problems here and there, but no one person can solve them all, especially in only less than two years.

Carrying handguns for personal protection is legal in many states.  As I have heard said among conservatives who believe in our Constitutional rights as law-abiding Americans, "The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun".

This is the whiniest post i've seen on here in a while. Ohio is an open carry state and while i will notice if someone's carrying a gun, who am i to tell someone that they can't carry? And living in my county, i see quite a few people wearing Trump hats/shirts. I didn't vote for Trump, but again, who am i to worry about what shirt someone wears? Get out of your bubble... just because someone voted for Trump it doesn't mean they're a terrible person.

I dont care if someone supports Trump or not. I personally dont support the guy, but im.not gonna go ******* on someone who wears a Trump shirt or not. They have their opinions I have mine. If you like Trump, fine. It's your choice.

Plus, is it worth having said Trump supporter kick the living crap out of you for disrespecting his/her beliefs and choice in presidents?

Why were you unnerved? I carry outside of work and I shoot multiple times a week. You realize most officers might fire their guns a few times a year, right? Seriously, I know several that only shoot when they're required to for qualification, and that's once a year. There is nothing special about a police officer that makes him/her more "qualified" as far as skill and ability to carry a firearm than anyone else.

Btw, the anxiety you're feeling today I felt from 2008-2016 so welcome to the club! If I survived the former President, I assure you that you can survive the current one.

My state has constitutional carry.

It's no biggie.  Never had any problem.  My store is a bit ghetto, so maybe it's not a bad idea.

Here's a thought: how many of your customers do you think are carrying concealed pistols?

Only 1 word describes this,  "Ignorant"

But you have no problem with all the gang-bangers shooting up their own neighborhoods with illegal firearms.  Killing each other over the pettiest things.

I'm pretty sure its usually the other way around.  Most Trump supporters actually just want to debate the issues.  The non-supporters just want to yell at you and tell you why your wrong.

now? by "now" you mean "for 200+ years" ?

Have you ever heard of the 2nd amendment?

If you are so scared of guns, learn about them. Start with safety, and then learn how they work. Try shooting one (at a range), whether you like guns or not. The more you know, the less scared you'll be.

I cannot believe people who live here are so scared of guns... no

I live in an open carry state (texas) and this wouldnt unnerve me at all, to me it's the same thing as someone saying that they were "unnerved" by someone who is of the muslim faith shopping at their store, whatever happened to not judging a book by it's cover? Yikes.
