Say for example if a drivers license expires "today" is it still valid for alcohol purchases? I ran into this a couple times yesterday. Technically licenses are valid until midnight when the clock rolls over to 12:01 am? Right? I looked up the law and it wasn't much help. It just sad valid drivers license. Didn't clearly state when it expired. If it's the day of or midnight. I work at a training store and the cashier trainer said it was a grey zone with better judgement. Next time I'm saying no. Especially if it's someone close of age. Regardless of who it is. Opinions?
Nope. Because I had an ID that expired on a certain day, and I still got my alcohol on the experiation day. Shocker isn't it? anyways I couldn't buy my drinks the day after if I wanted to.
But yes, you are right. I may be wrong on SOME things but not all. But it's ok. Guys/gals like you even make mistakes

If the license expires today 6/27/2018, then its until 11:59 PM tonight.
You're wrong, but that's ok. You spend a lot of time on here that way.
No, he's right. As an example, in my state, car registrations expire the last day of your birth month month. So people who have birthdays in June have car registrations that say expires 6-30-2018. They don't say expires 6-29-2018. That means on 6-30-2018 their car registration is still valid. However on 7-1-2018 it is not. The same is true for driver's licenses, coupons, and library books.
We had someone the other night try to use an expired license from February. This is in Georgia. The cashier refused the sale (it was for a six pack of beer.) Customer claimed she "uses this ID all the time." I think NOT.
I had one time this lady came through my checkers line when I was off the clock shopping. She tried to get us to sell her some liquor with an expired license. At that time it started she was 21. Well, it was 2 years past its expiration date. Not gonna happen. Well she said she was 21 and that it was ok. Umm.. no it is NOT OK. We dont care if you are 200 years old or 21 years old. If your license is expired, that decides for you. NOT the other way around. Well she asked me if I could get it for her and she'd hand me the money to purchase it. Told her No. She got pissed and called me a rude mean motherless bastard and also stated she wasn't going to share her salmon with us.
I looked at her and pleasantly smiled "at least I KNEW who my mother was. And I dont give a **** about your damn crusty salmon." She threw a fit. Screaming obscenities which only made her even madder when I laughed. She left. And forgot her salmon too.

AMEN! Refusing was the right things to do especially with a couple cashiers personally being fined $2000 for selling alcohol to someone they shouldn't have in recent stings.
What a pointless thread is the person of legal age?? Expired card means nothing. The card hard program by the way is 35yrs of age. By law. So I say if the person is at least 35 i dont care if the card is 5yrs expired if name matches there debt/cc it looks somewhat like them
