Ever since the store started remodeling, every week we have to hear the managers complain that the amount of money the store is making is going down. They vaguely sound like they're blaming us while they announce it, and tell us to be sure to push sales harder. It's not our fault the store is being remodeled and no one wants to go on a hunt for bread or other items when they change the location every week. Frankly the store should be shut down for the remodel, it seems unsafe to be in thee in general.
Ha, I might know where you wooorrkk. (Heavy might)
Nah, youre right. They did that when my store remodelled too. Theyre gonna keep bitching because their bonuses are on the line and it looks bad on them when they do their calls. Managers will pass their bosses gripes straight down to you guys. Try not to take it personally, itll be over in a few months and then theyll start throwing more **** down on you for other things that arent your fault.

You nailed it exactly. I'm a former retail manager and that was the formula, tho I took great pride in not getting caught up in that 'kick the dog' play. And not just because I don't wanna be a dick, but because when your people see that you disrespect them, that's the beginning of your end.

Stop being piss ass associates and you might get a cookie now and then
Managers will pass their bosses gripes straight down . . .
"The [poop] rolls downhill" is such an inspirational thing to hear in Krogrr hurdles. Gravity trumps ethical reflection. My Krogrr dad abuses me, so I will abuse you. Evil is inevitable; there is no moral choice. "Leadership" means hurting, not helping, those below me.

Uplift!
Everyday!!
I just wanna take one of those cards to hang up and write this on it. Beautiful.
You would think big corporations like Kroger would get the simple fact that the vast majority of customers AND employees hate remodels. Customers do NOT like it when products get moved around and entire aisles change and employees feel the same way. Remodels tend to drive customers away to do their shopping elsewhere because of the clutter and the frustration of not being able to find stuff that they a lot of times knew by heart. We just finished a major remodel not long ago and I haven't heard a single positive customer comment about it. I still get asked on a regular basis "where did the natural foods section go?" and "what happened to the yogurt (which is not even IN the dairy anymore, but AWAY from it)" and "don't you guys sell beer anymore?" and stuff like that. On top of that, even just after a major remodel, they are STILL doing resets seemingly every couple of days. Seriously, can you STOP MOVING STUFF and just leave everything where it is for at least a whole freaking MONTH?
Whatever. Keep driving customers away. Fewer I have to deal with.
