'Nother question. Does a newly appointed ACSM always have to worry about being forced to transfer to a new store? Or are they free to stay at their chosen store for as long as they like?
Most of the time, we are sent to a new store. There have been exceptions, but department heads in my district at least are moved around once every year or two, but lately we are for the most part being kept closer to home. That's why i went from working in a store in Dayton over an hour away from my house, back to a more rural store closer to where i live.
In reality is depends on your District, MR.F District is "unique" so a drive dive might be required depending on where they are sending him. If anything if your an office helper as to "help" at another store to, since I believe your stores is seen as a "**** show" and most likely is harder then others in the district.
Here in the Cincy/Dayton division ACSM starting pay varies based on store sales. IIRC the highest starting pay is $18.71 at a $2mil+ store. The tiers for starting pay have changed a bit but I am fairly certain that $18.71 is the highest starting pay for ACSM. Fairly certain my store is at the Tier below $2mil+ which puts starting pay at my store at $18.69.
Don't mean to be spamming, but to answer the second question, it depends.
If you're just becoming an ACSM then it is very likely you will be transferred to another store. Generally, the rule that's thrown around is that you don't get to stay at your home store. They try to avoid that as it might make it more difficult for you to really step up into your role as you're more likely to already be friends with most of the employees there.
There are exceptions, I will say, though it is up to your front end coordinator. So I wouldn't expect to stay at your current store.
