Who knows which. Stores are at risk?

I was told 2 stores in local 536 were at risk of closing. It was explained that there are about four stores in duals right now. That 2 of them might be closing within the next year. Does anyone on here know which stores they're talking about?

I have no idea where local 536 is, but the stores that will get shut down will be the worst volume stores. Theyll probably also be the darkest stores in that area.

If they aren't turning a profit, they'll close unless they occupy important land.

Local 536 looks to be Illinois, don't know anything about that area but yeah any stores that are poorly performing would be on the chopping block.

There's a growing and alarming trend of all corporate retail businesses packing up and moving from the inner cities. Theft, violence and customers otherwise being run off by beggars is directly why. The closed Kroger store in my town I mentioned a short while back? Those very issues that forced it out of business are now blooming at the remaining three stores.

If a serious change towards security and loss prevention isn't developed soon, we're going to be seeing vast food deserts all across the country. That's fking scarier than most people realize.

It scary not knowing if the store you are working at is at risk. I'm wanting to know if I need to start finding a new job or move out of this area and transfer

I would not worry, just ask your Store Manager if the store is meeting its EBITDA projections (profit).  They will most likely, ask you questions on why....... But a Store Manager shouldn't have any reason NOT to tell you.  In reality only higher ups know when a Store is going to close, everyone else it just happens, when it happens.  There are a lot of smaller stores that are not busy, but are profitable.  In reality, as long as a Store breaks even or makes a profits its not going to close.

As long as a store is profitable there is no need to close it. If a store isn't making money, then the question needs to be "can it?" Again if there's a way to make it profitable it should stay open. Closing a store should be a last resort, and tbh you can probably see the signs of a doomed store years before it actually is closed.
