Have any of you ever had to deal with a co-worker (does not necessarily have to be a member of your particular department) that whines all the time when something goes wrong in his or her department, would rather stand around, waste time and gab than get any work done, but has plenty to say about others who don't do theirs or to people who simply irritate him or her? Have you ever gotten really mad at this person for whining all the time like a crying baby, when all YOU'D rather do is YOUR D**N JOB?!! What if the particular co-worker in question is very hot-headed, mercurial and does not listen to reason? OP here...Just for the record, I don't give a f***ing d**n about any trolls who might come on here! They can...ALL...JUST...LEAVE! That said, I DO MY D**N JOB and EARN A PAYCHECK! I don't waste time getting in other people's business, starting useless arguments or trifling away the hours stuck to my phone...We serve the CUSTOMERS...not the other way around...and THEY are the most important people I worry about! I can also give someone a look (esp. a busybody co-worker who has nothing better to do with his or her time) that makes it looks like I'm the most mentally and psychologically unstable person in the world capable of anything, even though I might not be, but then again, THEY don't know if I am or not! No one does, because they don't really know me, or at least, not as well as they think they do, which is why it might surprise them to hear me talking like this, because I usually don't get THIS angry...It's called "reverse psychology"...Sometimes, it works and sometimes it doesn't...I could stare an offender down with a look that says "DON'T...EVEN...TRY!!!"... Then again, I could be the nicest person you ever want to meet the next day...I don't even mind being called crazy as bat-sh**, because...guess what...I've been called that before many times (I take it as a badge of honor!), I'm old enough and experienced enough with their kind of crap not to care anymore and THIS AIN'T HIGH SCHOOL! But what I don't have time for are idiots who come up to me wanting to bother the hell out of me and get into my business and/or start arguments for no reason...I have co-workers in my department that don't take crap from idiots, as well...And WE get along just fine, because they don't have time for others' BS, either! And man, has there been a LOT OF BS over the years! Unlike some, WE have work to do! In any case...I, in fact, love it when people can't figure me out/pigeonhole me because it keeps them on their toes and they leave me...THE...HELL...ALONE!
There is nothing wrong with a, b, and c as long as said worker doesn't fight/threaten others and does their job...sure they may not be likable, but I personally don't ever speak to any fellow employees unless I have to anyway so it doesn't affect me. All employees are expected to do is their job, not get friendly with everyone. As for the complaining...everyone complains at least some of the time, and for me at least it's fine, again, as long as they are doing their job and not distracting me away from doing mine.
I don't show my true self at work. I turn myself into a heartless, mindless drone just like Kroger expects us to be. I could care less if people don't like me. I am there to work ONLY.

Honestly, I love my job and my department, but have no time for others' petty BS...It doesn't help morale one bit! You all know da*n well that there is always at least ONE person in every store (and not just Kroger) that either a.) has a terrible attitude, b. is NOT a "people person" and/or c. can't get along with anyone else...I have yet to work somewhere where that WASN'T the case! It still doesn't make those people right or help anyone! And these kinds of people get a pass all the time for their behavior...
And I don't get into politics much, but in the last few years, I've seen a few whiners who love to complain about everything, berate others and say life is unfair when things don't go their way and there are plenty of people who will stick up for/cover up for/lie for/endorse the said whiners to the nth degree...And I seriously don't know how either of them can look themselves in the mirror every morning! Fortunately, I'm not one of them! Anyone who doesn't see it happening is either blind, deaf or has their head stuck up their a$$...Obviously, they're not living in the same reality I am!

I've complained, too, about things (Who doesn't???), but I STILL do my job!
