Heads up Union Brothers and Sisters. I know some of you are preparing to get into contract negotiations, but you have to remember one thing, Kroger does not care about a single one of us. I work in the Columbus Division, in District B we just had a long stressful battle with Kroger over our contract negotiations. We got screwed big time, full timers 40 cents part timers 30 cents, starting rates 9 something. We all got screwed by this company. They threatened to close the stores here and everyone got scared and passed this crappy contract. I want you all to think about something. DO WE GET A CHRISTMAS BONUS? DO WE GET THANKSGIVING OFF TO BE WITH FAMILY? DO WE GET EVEN A THANK YOU SOME DAYS? This company is made by us, not all the bosses. You guys who have an upcoming contract need to really get involved, and tell your co-workers to do the same. I started at 16 for this company, and have been here going on 8 years. It sure as heck isn't what it was 7 years ago. Really push Kroger's buttons, and make them pay. WE DESERVE IT!!!! Ya'll need to really think what are we gaining? Kroger says they are making Millions, if not Billions, Why aren't we seeing it? I truly feel Kroger got in way over their head buying up all these other companies, so there is little to no money for anyone else. Start thinking about the future!
Thats not what happened no one threaten to close the store. We voted because 40 is better the the 25 we were getting. We complain about pay and the union did their best to get us good pay. If we dont like it their are other companies out their.
