They discontinued Italian bread in the bakery
Permalink

Ordered two cases to come in yesterday.  They got scratched.  Ordered four cases to come in today.  They didn't even show up on the bills.  E-mailed the corporate office and it turns out somebody there accidentally discontinued it.  It's nice to know this company is run by such competent people.  They did manage to send us eight more cases of brioche breads on top of the 12 we already have in the freezer.  I tried the cinnamon one today and didn't care for it.  It's not baked properly.  It tastes like raw dough.

We don't carry the Country French in Louisville.  Is it a par-baked bread or a raw dough that has to be proofed and baked?.  The kind I'm talking about is a raw dough.  We also use it to make sub buns.  We do have a par-baked (actually it looks fully baked) bread called Primetime bread.  It's a Italian/French type bread.

The country french is what the raw dough is called in my division. It's used to make italian bread, french bread and sub buns. :)
