Union forced my manager to rehire someone he fired!!

And at no loss of seniority either. I don't want to go into deatails here but this happened in the Local 1996 area.  The woman doesn't do squat and quits the lot after an hour saying she is done and won't help anyone else out for the rest of the shift.

Has she been written up previous or any suspensions hanging out in her file? If not there is nothing management can do. Or maybe she knows someone in Union that can smooth things over.

She filed a complaint with the Union rep and he said that she had to be hired back. Said she was fired illegally according to the Union contract.

What department or position does he or she hold in Kroger?

Do you know why she was fired?

Do you know what type of employee he or she is? 

Do you know how long he or she has been employed by Kroger?

Do you know what contract he or she was under?

Same questions for the manager.

What type of relationship do they have? 

Unless you have all this info its hard to comment on this post.

Good for her and good for you! This means that you have a strong union that is doing its job; fighting for the rights of the worker! You should be grateful!
