harassed AFTER quitting
Permalink

I worked at Kroger once.

They slowly reneged on all of their pledges to me (high pay rate, scheduled hours, etc.) as discussed in the job interview.

Hated the place after beginning to work their on day one.

My immediate supervisor was a total ba-itch, but I tolerated it because she was hot.

My prior employer did not want me to leave, and I left there on great terms.

I quit Kroger shortly after being hired and went back to my old job.

Fast forward 10 days later after quitting...

I return to Kroger to shop (convenient location and the reason why I wanted to work there in the first place), and out of the blue the general manager of the store approaches me and stops within 30 feet of me and stares at me.  When I look at him, he looks down at the floor.  I immediately sensed he was trying to bait me into an argument so he could kick me out of the store.  No words were exchanged.  I grab my shopping cart and continued to shop.

As I continue to shop I get some glares from a few former coworkers and from my immediate supervisor.  No words get exchanged.  They don't break their gaze.

Has this happened to anyone else?  I should have gotten my phone out of my pocket and video recorded them.

What would you have done?  Did I mention my immediate supervisor was hot?

1. What's your old job?

2. In a scale of 1 to 10, how hot was your supervisor?

3. Why should you give a **** what these store managers think? They're salaried slaves who gives a fck!

1.  ClickList shopper

2. I'd say she's a 9.  She's very pretty.

3.  I don't like being stared at.  I'd do a head fake, and they'd still be staring at me.   I was given the death glare on more than one occasion by the hot looking supervisor when I returned after this first encounter.

You don't describe the details behind your quitting, so I'll fill in the blanks with reasonable guesses:

You bailed on your last shift, probably having not even called off, but definitely after having dragged your ass in a lackadaisicle, don't give a sh!t/cuz I'm entitled to my own kingdom attitude the entire time you were wasting everyone's time by being there.....and now you're remarking at their audacity for stink eyeing you for YOUR audacity at e v e r showing your face in their store again?

Yeah, I believe that sums it up pretty well!

You think you're being harassed because people stared at you?  You're being paranoid and overly sensitive.

Your not paranoid or overly sensitive, but I do wonder on what terms did you quit. Even if you didn't quit the best way, who cares? Its your life your choices. They have some nerve judging you. If this is how they are and you didn't do anything to them, then I don't blame you for quitting. Its retail people quit all the time. Big deal.
