I was curious what the benefits of becoming a regular employee are compared to part time. The only thing I've heard so far is higher than everyone on part time senority list and able to bump anyone below me if I want their shift(more hours). I already have insurance since I hit my 1 year mark a few months ago. Better insurance? Better wage increase? Anything?
You want full time so you have 'a better chance' at taking other people's hours, i.e. the food out of their mouths.. Tell ya what: In saying that, you have a MUCH better chance at sucking the ice cream out of my wee wee, you maggot
No your mom already did that. I'm asking a simple question. I don't need other people's hours. Move on troll
No hes right. Youre a piece of sh!t bitch and want to steal other peoples hours. Tis the season to roast my nuts in your mouth if you need food. Happy holidays!!
I work on average 38-44 hours a week sometimes more if the call everyone in so I wouldn't be bumping anyone else's hours. Everyone else does the same except new hires or ones that refuse to work more than they're scheduled 4 hours. That was just the first thing they told me!!!! Our store basically has unlimited overtime because it is a display store for our region. Corporate usually comes there when they're in the region so we get more hoursI was just asking if they're was better wage increases or anything else. That rude comment I made was for him running his mouth

Might get a dollar raise when you hit full time maybe a little more. OFC a benefits package will mail out soon and youre union dues slightly increase. I've been told you cant have a set schedule when youre full time. You get 2 personal holiday off days. Think thats about it.
You can bump others from their hours with less time than you, and they have no choice but to comply, but it can backfire. Someone with higher seniority can take your hours from you and you have to.comply. ive been bumped before and there was nothing i could do about it. I had 36 hours and someone higher up than me decided that i "wanted" their 20 hours and thats what happened.
But why just not ask management if you can snag extra stray hours for no shows and call ins?

Because that would be the civil, decent thing to do and nobody's into that any more
Like I said that was just one they told me. I dont need the extra hours. If you need to bump someone after getting average of 38 hours per week sometimes up to 50 like I do, you need to find a new job.
If you're a full time employee, you are guaranteed to get your 40 hours every week. Where I'm at you have to work an average of 40 hours a week for 10 consecutive weeks to obtain full time status. At that point nobody can take your hours, even if they have more seniority than you. If they're full time then their boss would have to fix their mistake in scheduling and give them those hours somewhere, probably by cutting the hours of a part timer. I worked full time with a set schedule, so it's possible for those saying it isn't. It is rare though. I think there's only a handful of full time employees that get the exact same hours and days every week. Benefits of being full time (could vary by location) are more personal days and vacation weeks. That's mostly it.
