She wishes she'd get more hours. She's lucky to sometimes get more than 30, or even 40. But on average, it's 18. She wonders if there's any department in the store where she'd be more likely to get a stable amount of hours greater than 30. Preferably 40.
As overnight grocery I get 35-40 hrs if she wants to do that. I guess the minimum isnt 20 where she works? At our store the minimum you can be scheduled is 20 except holiday weeks or weeks you ask for days off, those are shorter sometimes.

I was told Click List will close at 1 PM on Christmas Eve. Maybe that day she can work over and help on the front end? Maybe put up returns bag groceries anything to help.
The amount of hours you get really depends in the store, department and your availability. If shes isn't able to get the hours at your store, ask if its ok to call another. While every department/stores is different, I learned to not over higher and to always somehow get the hours for the key players in the department. While 18 might be on the schedule, they key players knew I would never say No if they asked to pickup hours during prime time or weekends.
