I've been sick the last few days, I had to call in sick today. Are we allowed to wear those surgical masks that just cover the mouth and nose? It may be a dumb question but I'd rather ask here than a manager first so they don't think I'm a retard.
Why would they think you are a retard? You're preventing yourself from becoming sick when someone doesnt seem to grasp the concept of covering their mouths when they sneeze and cough. Same with kids old enough to understand. It shouldnt be a problem but i would check with management first, because some overly sensitive snowflake may become 'offended' when they see the mask to prevent illness. Me? I personally think the opinions of said snowflakes are about as important as dog crap. I wear a mask when i see tons of people getting sick all at once, or if u feel like ive gotten something from someone.
he said it was because he was sick. I think having the empathy to think of others says a lot about this guy. I often considered wearing one for the other reason (to stay well) but figured people would be like "oh stay away from that guy, he got the crud." Kudos OP for thinking of the well being of others!
