Actually, (as any long-time deli worker who slices a lot of cheese will probably know) some kinds of cheese "break" (fall apart) VERY VERY easily, just when trying to gently slide it into a bag. I can't remember off the top of my head some examples, but perhaps certain kinds like Pepper Jack, Monterey or Sharp Cheddar?, especially when they are sliced a bit too thinly.

Yep, Sharp Cheddar, Mild Cheddar, both kinds of American, Colby and no doubt plenty of the much drier cheeses in the cheese shop all crumble VERY easily. But the main point here is that regardless if the customer was planning on melting it down to make a fondue or use it in a recipe. Nobody wants to pay for items they knew were whole before they reached the check out. Only to get them damaged on the way OUT of the store. And the OP knows they would feel the exact same way, regardless if they claim differently. It's the principle of the thing. So no real need to bring name calling into it or much else.
Other Deli workers will see you wearing it and they'll know what it means.
Heck throw in a shirt that has a flow chart on how to order at the deli counter in general. There are still so many customers at times get so flustered when you even ask them the most basic of things about their order, brand, how much, what type, cut. It's our own fault because we brought them over here. We should have used the Chinese like the West Coast people did here. You don't hear them crying and bitching. There just isn't a lot of moisture in most cheeses in the first place. And even less if people do not properly store it in the plastic bags in the case. Which happens more times than not.
