Cutting in line at U-scan
Permalink

Do you ever have people try to cut the line at the u-scans?  Do you say anything to them?    We have two sets of u-scans.  They're both the same.  Each u-scan lane has 6 bots with 3 bots on each side.  The standard practice is that there's is just one queue.  Whatever bot opens next is the one you go to whether it's on the left or on the right.  The other day some woman asked me which set of u-scans I was in line for.  I told her there's only one line.  She didn't like it.  She thought she could jump ahead of me if I told her I was only waiting for the u-scans on one particular side.  Another time a woman thought she could just cut in front of everybody and use the u-scan that had just opened up.  I let her know she wasn't suppose to do that and she needed to wait her turn.

I cut in front of fat asses any chance I get. Some of these behemoth are stuffing glazed donuts down their clucker and then touch the buttons getting them all sticky.

 be·he·moth

a huge or monstrous creature, like my gaping anus.

something enormous, like the wad of chewing gum where my brain should be.

We have one set of six, so there's one queue and it's usually fairly orderly.

If the next person is zoned out or playing on their phone and doesn't notice when a machine opens, I'll cut.    **** 'em.  I don't have all day for them to stand around with their thumb up their ass.

If I'm running SCO and the next person is on their phone, I like to try to gesture and get the other customers to cut.

I'm sick of this phone ****.  If I wasn't hoping to get a new job this month, I'd buy a ****ing phone jammer.

I NEVER let people cut in front of me when i am in U-SCAN Line. I will DELIBERATELY block them from doing so. They can and will wait their turn like everyone else

Also if two lines start to firm the sco attendant could inform people that there is only one line

That would definately make things easier. Ive seen near fights in regular checkstands because lines were branching in two different ways when there is supposed to be one line and one line only.
