Hey, so I got hired to a Kroger in the ATL division last year on the 16th. I went to orientation at the store, did the paperwork and they handed me uniform.

Do I  ONLY get 1 pair of Kroger shirt? I think it's a bit inconsiderate for me to go home and put only one shirt in my machine..

Back when our division had actual uniforms, all I'd do was simply ask a co-manager to give me a new shirt, and they'd give it to me, if they had it. Heck, I have five shirts and two pants rotting away in my closet as we speak. But when I was hired, I got two pairs of pants, and two shirts (and a welcome-to-Kroger bag of goodies, lol). Dunno why they only gave you one.

That's probably one of many warning signs you've received this past month, the place is bad news to be working for -- one and only one uniform piece, a shirt that will get smelly if you don't wash it each day instead of at least two.

Did they take forever to get you on the schedule?  Did they lose your drug test results multiple times from the testing agency?  Did the person who was suppose to interview you or give you an orientation fail to show up?

Force Kroger management to treat you with respect.  Act like an NFL free agent and constant test your marketability while you begin working at Kroger.  If you get a better offer and/or find a potential supervisor you hit it off with in a job interview elsewhere, go with the organization with the supervisor you have great chemistry with.

***-Remember it's always better to work for a GREAT supervisor at a bad company, than to work for a lousy supervisor at a great company.  Remember that.  That will save you a lot of grief in the future.

My hunch is more often than not, Kroger has lousy supervisors and Kroger is bad company.  You lose both ways.

Yep.  Most of us who are here are hanging on for a while until something else comes along.  To the op, It's best to look elsewhere unless you really need the money.  Hell, we use to have a crackhead that worked overnight with us and only lasted several months.  That should tell you something, lmao.

I'm sure they would probably give you another shirt or smock :) I think they usually keep them in a cabinet at the office
