Customers are starting to wonder what's going on, there were a couple of weeks over the holidays where there was no Friday freebie, we assumed it was because of the holidays and all that. But there's none this week either, what's the deal? Recall? Cheapening up even more before the fiscal year ends? Something else?
I didn't hear any complaints and I'm a bit shocked at this. They spoiled the customer with freebies for so long and this is, like someone else said, not the first time they skipped it. But they're right, a couple good Fri/Sat deals (we also have $5 24 pack cokes, which I think is better than any freebie they might throw out there)
Well apparently the manufacturer of the bars got a shipment of ingredients that was contaminated with peanuts. Normally, their bars are advertised as having no peanuts in the ingredients list. So they're being recalled to try and prevent people who have peanut allergies from eating them.

This is a classic case of lazy associates at best. They have all this stuff just sitting in the back room but they dont do their job at all. These people need to start appreciating us and VALUE US a hell of a lot more. Its small promotions like free Friday that keep us coming back to shop and spend so we help contribute to their tiny paychecks.

you're a customer not a worker, right? Because if you worked at kroger you would know that we can't always control what we do/don't get. Free Friday's are a PITA when the product doesn't show up

Oh, that's just the V.U.T. ("Value Us Troll"). Ignore him/her. I suspect it's actually a former Kroger worker who was fired for poor job performance, and now has plenty of time on their hands to pose as a snotty, hateful customer and annoy employees here who are actually trying to use this discussion forum for productive reasons.
