They seem to think that somehow they are owed bags for something that happened generations ago! Put down the weed, leave the white women alone and get a job spoobies!
I've never noticed any difference in the race of people who ask for items to be double-bagged. I think you are exaggerating, or imagining this.
For those people who DO ask for more bags, here are 3 possible reasons they ask:
1) They are afraid (perhaps without good reason, just being overly cautious), that only one bag will break, causing something to fall out, break, leak, or otherwise be damaged.
2) They use the plastic grocery bags to serve as replacements for the 13-gallon small kitchen trash bags to line the bottoms of wastebaskets. (I do that sometimes, and I know other people who do also. It is a normal, common thing for people to do). It's cheaper and you are doing some "repurposing".
3) You look a bit lazy and they want to make sure you do just a little extra work to earn your paycheck?
I once TRIPLE bagged a couple bottles of soda for a customer. It was all for naught as the bags were so bad that they busted open five seconds after I handed them to the customer.
They always want their damn "grape drank" double bagged! Just carry it by the damn handle! They never ask to have their condoms double bagged though, because they unfortunately never buy any! Which is ironic, because most spoobies are definitely banging some "double baggers"!
Because they are smarter than the average shopper, that hardly makes it out of the store before something they have bought is busted all over the floor. Or my personal favorite, made it to the U Scan, was getting ready to pay for it, and the dumb ass broke not 1, not 2, but 3, six packs of beer all over the floor. Amazed we had enough spill magic to even clean all of it up.
Or another favorite, some idiot buys milk, some how gets it punctured out in the parking lot. And instead of bringing it in to be returned. No the dummy, goes all the way to their car with it, leaking all over the parking lot. Cause no, they didn't park close to the entrance. Their clear across the parking lot.
every where i ever worked black people never do more than the min. i not racist this coming from experience. ex. night stock indianapolis kroger black man named derek anderson been with the company almost 20 years shift from 9-5am he gets the min done stops at 4am. others are working till 6am sometimes. he leaves his aisles half assed sits gets the free hour till 5 ,30 minute breaks, breaks the toliet every week, leaves a mess behind, clutter carts and pallets, if items falls kicks it under etc. thats only him check out the ones you work with. have u seen any head stocks that are black. how many dept heads. kroger wont fire because of waffle house type laws. im not afraid to say it. i rather have mexicans working with me that cant speak english than a black man with 20 years exp. theres more but thats enough
You have to also think about the area. An area that has a large population living in multi-family houses normally have longer to transport items, which cause bags fatigue. Nothing to do with race, once you have a bag break on you, its double bag everything! In reality, everyone will eventually have to bring their owns bags.
