Scheduling//status four

Hey so I've been working at Kroger for about five years. I took time off because of school and I came back last June. My schedule is retricted during the week because I'm taking six classes, two internship, and on top of that working at Kroger. They have never schedule me on a Tuesday until about a week ago. I have on my eachedule that I'm unavailable between 6:30-10:30 pm. Now it should have been the whole day, but that not the issue. They schedule me Tuesday from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. I think it was a mistake I went to my manager about it. He told me that since I'm a status four that they have overide it. Is that true? I'm just like low-key angry about this.

No, actually it's the opposite. Since your status 4 and that's your availability, you aren't supposed to be scheduled it. Yes it also restricts you which means seniority doesn't have to apply to you, but to schedule you the exact hours you're unavailable, no they don't "have to override" anything.

Are you sure it says you are unavailable or does it say you are available between 6:30-10:30? They could also be trying to get you toquit. Have you pissed anyone off lately? I know when I piss off my Lead She likes to do as little as possible and leave me with as much work as possible. She knows I get overwhelmed when I have too much to do, so she will deliberately do this. She also knows I like working in a certain area. So when I piss her off she makes sure I don't work in that area for awhile.

Schedule restrictions unfortunately ding your hours heavily.  Even just one.  It's very rare your store scheduler will write you to full hours available to your requests.  If you can get your way then you have 5+ years seniority and there's not too many senior staff ahead of you.  Shifts are generated then handed out.  It's very unlikely to have these shifts fall within your availability.
