if you can't stand up for yourself and tell them that it's not acceptable, when kroger demands that you say nothing?

I don't care how Kroger feels about it, if someone is an ******* to me I stand up for myself. I work in the deli. If a customer is being too rude, I will stop waiting on them and walk away to the back. Unfortunately someone else usually steps in to kiss their ass, but I'm not going to.  There were times when it was just me though so there was no one else to wait on them. The way I see it is if I get fired from Kroger, oh well. There's a million other ****ty jobs out there, Kroger isn't special.

It's all about your demeanor from the get-go. I work the front end and my body language says "don't mess with me." But if it is one of those 5 or 6 customers I am good friends with, then my stance changes because I know them and they know me. I don't take BS from anybody!!

I don't even say a single word. If they're beyond reasoning with I just walk away. About the only passive aggressive way you can deal with them.
