ExpressHR says I'm a Front End Cashier

I am no longer a "Front End/Clerk" but a "Front End/Cashier"

Hmmmm.... Interesting!

Did they recently do your evaluation where you sit down with your FE Manager and HR person and discuss how you perform and any raises? If so they could have changed your status.

They recently changed the job description of a lot positions, your doing the same tasks, just the "title" was changed. All Managers are called "Leaders" instead of Managers..

That title is sort of a misnomer when it comes to my bakery manager.  While she knows how to decorate cakes, she knows nothing about baking bread.  The title of bakery manager sounds more accurate than lead baker.

That is extremely odd to me. While i'm more on the baking side of things than the decorating side, i still have to decorate in a pinch. I thought we were expected to be able to do every job in the department. Maybe i expect too much common sense sometimes, lol.

In reality the bakery is more about baking and stocking items now. While decorating is important, what percentage of items need to be decorated?

You've obviously never been in a store with a large bakery department.   We'll go through several dozen in-store-made cupcakes every day.  Colossal cookies?  You can bake and decorate a case of them (18) and they're gone in less than two days.  Then of course there's all the cake orders.  There's at least three or four every day Monday-Thursday.  Weekends there's five times that many each day.  Graduation and First Communion season there's usually around 40 cake orders on Saturdays and Sundays.  It would be real hard to say what we sell more of: pre-made stuff, decorated stuff, or baked stuff.
