Because its a 2 hr bus ride to the one in beech grove and I live Right down the street from the other store . Ive been at Kroger since May 22nd of this year . So would they be able to do the transfer ? Would my pay rate be the same . I need to be closer to home s I can get my kids ready for school in the morning and with me working at the one in beech grove theres no way I can make it home in time to get them ready .. help please

Allegedly you can't transfer while you are still in your probationary period.  If it's still 90 days, you'd have to wait until August 20th or so and then maybe another couple weeks for paperwork to go through.

Ideally.

Transferring is often difficult.  Management has to fill out forms, so if they don't feel like it, it can take longer.  Or, if they are spiteful about losing a good worker, they might lose documents or write you up so you can't transfer.

Is Kroger really worth it?  It might be faster and pay better to seek employment elsewhere.

I've transferred stores twice, and the best advice I have is to go to the store you want to transfer to and talk to management there. Your own store's management will drag their feet about sending the paperwork to the other store, but they'll have no excuses when the new store wants you to come over and they're calling your store to ask about the paperwork. With this last transfer, I waited a week or two only to go over to the new store and learn that no word of my application had been sent over. Apply for the transfer, then go to the new store to let them know that you've done that. The new managers should help things along for you.
