Please save me from the green people! Obnoxious customer of the day today

Customer comes in with one of those expandable reuseable bags. I came in just as she was about finished and ready to pay. She snaps at me and says "I don't want plastic!" and tells me to put the rest of her groceries (including cheese) into the cart "because I have more bags in the car." I procede to put the cheese which is a very perishable item into a plastic bag (it is almost 100 degrees outside and it will melt in a heartbeat.) She gets all snitty and grabs the cheese out of the plastic bag. What she doesn't know is that when she wasn't looking I slipped a plastic bag into one of her reusebale bags (hahahaha.) These types of people are do d*** obnoxious-they act like the world will come to an end if you give them a plastic bag. Do you have those types of people in your store too?

Cheese will not melt at 100 degrees.  Butter and ice cream will but cheese won't.  It'll just get soft.

Eh.  Depends on the cheese.  A soft cheese like brie will rapidly suffer (regardless of plastic) while most other cheeses will be fine.

If they say no plastic, no plastic.

We get those customers all the time.  Typically they bring one single bag, demand no plastic, and then complain their one single bag is too heavy.

Don't question the customer's logic or you'll be laterally-demoted. - S

Oh geez...those tree huggers are obnoxious.  we had this one ...would bring glass cannisters to the deli.  We had to put her meat and cheese in them.  Management finally put a stop to it.   Cross contamination heh.  idiots
