The manager is busy - I don't care

Customer: blah blah blah, I'm angry, blah blah blah, let me speak to your manager.

Me: Well, he's busy at the moment.

Customer: I don't care.

LOL, well, you're going to care one way or another, cause you have no choice but to wait. I swear, this one gets me every time. Just hilarious.

"I don't care" what? Like showing some attitude is going to make me do some magic to make a manager come out of thin air? LOL smile

"Never turn your back on a customer."  Right.  And respect that nutty personality, just like you would in a psych ward.  Be kind.  Serious.

Next time do this. Page for a member of management to come wherever you're at in the store. Wait until you see a manager. Tell  them that the customer wants to speak with them. Go about your business. Simple and done.

That's exactly what I did. Store managers aren't going to come, they've got a million things to do, and they know that's the job of the CSMs to handle customer complaints. This particular situation, the ACSM who was running the floor was busy riding the service desk and couldn't leave it until all the customers were cleared. Which took about five minutes.

Way to not exceed the needs of the customer. You should apologize for your incompetence and maybe take 50 bucks out of your check and buy a Kroger gift card and give it to her as well. Yep

Did you call for a manager to call you back on the store phone? If so and no one answered did you get a manager who could have passed by you? Or what about the FS? Perhaps you could have asked any of the other cashiers or baggers to look if they see anyone. If that was all done then you did everything you could do and the complainer will either have to wait or leave.

While yes we have phones, I'm sorry to say, our store is not as efficient in communication like the stores you've been to and or worked at. Management communicates with each other primarily through walkie talkies. The only people with walkie talkies are, generally, the department leads, the CSMs, the store managers, and the security guards. People like me, the cashiers, we don't get walkie talkies.

I have never seen a manager call a cashier back on their register's phone about an issue. That level of efficient communication is just not how it's done at our store. And again, they're too busy with other stuff. If you were to pick up a phone and dial up a department, there is almost zero chance anyone will pick up, because nobody uses the phones.

Did I get a manager who could have passed by me? While, there are times when a co-manager is lingering around near the front end, in this instance, nah. There was nobody.

And like I said, the only front end manager on the floor, was the ACSM I mentioned who was busy at the service desk. I went up to him, he said, just tell them to wait, I'll be there when I get done with these customers.

And let me mention, our store is HUGE. Walking around looking for a manager can take a long time.

$50.00 out of an employees check for a customers gift card? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! That would NEVER happen. Although it would be funny to see someone try...HAHAHAHAH sorry (not) that was funny to even THINK that. Just dont come into my store and suggest that. I'd laugh right in your face and walk off.
