At least that's what my department heads are saying. They said they knew they had a walkie talkie the start of "the other day"(I've never heard the exact date from anyone yet) but it was missing along with an RF gun at the end of the night. My coworker who was closing along with me that night said I was using both for most of the night. Personally my own memory is fuzzy on whether or not I actually put those things away at the end of the night but I'm pretty sure I would have after I did my final replenishment scan for the night like I always do, or they would've been in an easy to find location if I lost track of them.
I'm not sure how much evidence there is that I actually lost it other than he-said-she-said nonsense. I estimate it's been about a week since this happened now. The store manager is going after my department head and assistant department head but she hasn't said a word to me about it. Let's say I actually did lose these things. Would they really take the difference out of my paycheck(or do worse)? What am I in for? It's already bad enough that I'm starting to get only 30 hours a week now due to some unrelated bs.
Well, if they're still in the store, you didn't lose them. You just misplaced them. They can check to see who was the last person to sign in on that particular RF unit. Perhaps someone picked it up without asking if it belonged to anyone.
lol we've lost/misplaced at least five walkie-talkies since we got them a couple of months ago. pretty sure one went into a garbage compactor on accident. a lot of them pop up from time to time only to disappear for a few weeks...
they don't have any kind of tracking on them so unless they see you on camera trashing it or whatever i would definitely not worry about it unless your management already has a grudge against you.
